If anyone ever asked me in high school who were my favourite artists, the answer was always easy.... it had to be the Flemish Masters, from Van Eyck, to Bruegel and Rubens. Although I would also have to add some of the Dutch, particularly Rembrandt and Frans Hals. I still have a self portrait hanging upstairs, which I did in the style of Rembrandt. Maybe one of these days I'll take a photo and post it on here.

So with homage to the true masters of the genre I present some of my own domestic scenes. Looking at them now I've just realized the irony that each of these scenes takes place not in Northern Europe but rather under much sunnier Mediterranean skies. Oh well, Michelangelo and Titian weren't bad either.
